Macarena is a licensed Clinical Psychologist who received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Minnesota School of Professional Psychology. In her clinical practice she provides a wide array of psychological and forensic evaluations, as well as individual therapy with adolescents, adults, and couples. Macarena has extensive experience working with complex trauma, is certified as a Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapist (TF-CBT) and Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) facilitator, and has trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). She performs evaluations and therapy in both English and Spanish, and has expertise in immigration and other multicultural issues.
Macarena’s approach to therapy focuses on enhancing a client’s strengths through collaboration and empowerment. She sees therapy as a cooperative effort that allows clients to develop insight and grow while navigating complex issues and fostering resiliency. Clients who work with Macarena can expect to learn new skills that they can take outside of the therapy room to make direct changes to the ways they live their life.
Macarena regularly speaks and teaches on topics related to complex trauma and diversity/immigration in various local and national conferences. She also consults with organizations and clinicians regarding complex trauma and the impact of incorporating yoga into the care of trauma survivors.

Nicole Slavik, PsyD, LP

Nicole is a licensed Clinical Psychologist, who received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Minnesota School of Professional Psychology. Her clinical practice focuses on individual therapy for adolescents and adults as well as providing psychological assessments for children, adolescents, and adults. Nicole has extensive experience working with complex trauma and chemical dependency. She has a special interest in treating women survivors of trauma who have learned to cope by abusing drugs and alcohol, and is able to complete chemical use assessments. Nicole also has specialized training in how trauma affects the brain. Specifically, she understands how repeated trauma (including drug and alcohol use) can affect the brain from functioning in a healthy way.
Nicole believes that fostering the therapist-client relationship is of utmost importance for healing and change to occur. Her therapy practice focuses on joining her clients on their journey as they process unhealthy behaviors and thinking patterns and begin to find self-acceptance. Nicole believes that it is her job to help identify the unique strengths and talents that will help a client gain the skills necessary to overcome past, present, and future problems. She strives to be a safe and supportive resource for her clients as they work toward change.

Corinne Nechalova, MA, LPCC, E-RYT-500

Corinne is a bilingual, Licensed Professional Counselor who believes that fostering the mind -body connection and using integrative models provides the best platform for sustainable healing and change. Corinne holds a Masters in Clinical Psychology and is a registered, trauma informed Yoga teacher with a background in other alternative health and healing modalities. In her clinical practice, Corinne provides individual therapy to adolescents and adults with a specific focus on identity work, body mind integration, and complex trauma. When applicable, Corinne uses evidence based, trauma informed Yoga practices (TCTSY) in sessions as well as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Corinne’s approach is strength based, helping the client connect back to themselves and find their innate power and ability to heal and grow. She believes that the most effective work happens in the relationship, and her sessions are client centered, providing an open, non-judgmental space. Sessions are intended to build resiliency and awareness, identify and start the process of changing unhealthy behaviors and beliefs, and reconnecting the body and mind.
In addition to her clinical practice, Corinne teaches public and private Yoga classes, leads Yoga teacher training programs, and facilitates workshops on self-care and mindfulness. Stephanie McCarty Jasper, PsyD

Stephanie received her doctorate from the University of St. Thomas in Counseling Psychology. She has been working professionally with youth and their families for many years and she brings this knowledge and experience to her current clinical practice with individuals, families and couples. In therapy she utilizes a flexible approach that includes ideas specific to Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Emotion Focused Therapy and Relational Cultural Therapy.
Stephanie believes we are all built to be in relationship with others and that within these relationships we all contribute to a complex system of dynamics. She works with clients to identify, shift and better cope with these complicated dynamics. Stephanie sees emotional pain as often stemming from experiences of isolation and invalidation. She is an active participant in the process of therapy and welcomes clients who may not know what they need or what they should say.
Stephanie also provides psychological evaluation services for both voluntary and county referred teens and adults. She works closely with clients during the assessment process in order to capture a trauma-informed, culturally aware story of a client’s life that includes concrete recommendations as a form of advocacy for their future.

Jane Miller, MA, LPCC

Jane is a licensed professional clinical counselor. She received her Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of St. Thomas. Jane has been fortunate to have worked in many different settings and with people of all ages, backgrounds, and walks of life. She has specific training and interest in the areas of attachment; adoption; play therapy; sexual health in children, adolescents, and adults; and recovery from trauma.
Jane believes that each person and family possesses unique strengths, talents, and challenges, and that it is her privilege to help people understand themselves and to find their own paths to wellness. Her practice is rooted in attachment theory and humanistic philosophy and integrates aspects of various therapies including psychodynamic, cognitive behavior (CBT), dialectic behavior (DBT), narrative, acceptance and commitment (ACT), feminist, and experiential therapies such as play and art. She is currently training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR),

Cori Miller, PsyD, LP

Dr. Cori Miller received her MA and PsyD in Clinical Psychology from the Florida School of Professional Psychology, with a specialty in Child and Adolescent Development. Cori has worked with children/adolescents and their families, and adults in numerous mental health settings. She has received specialized training in PracticeWise: Managing and Adapting practice (MAP), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), including EMDR for preverbal trauma, Trauma Informed-Child Parent Psychotherapy (TI-CPP), DC:0-5 assessment and treatment, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Cori’s areas of interest include trauma work, attachment and development, managing difficult transitions, anxiety, depression, adolescent identity development, adult psychotherapy, and comprehensive psychological assessment.
In therapy Cori takes a relational, psychodynamic approach that focuses on process and using the therapeutic relationship to reach clinical goals. She meets clients where they are at, works collaboratively to understand struggles, and uses a supportive, strength-based approach to encourage movement toward goals. Cori feels strongly that looking at and working with an individual’s entire context is an essential part of their treatment. She uses creative, flexible and integrative interventions in therapy. Melissa Vaughn, MSW, LICSW

Melissa received her master’s degree in Social Work through the University of Minnesota. She has over 13 years of experience working in mental health and social services, for which much of her work has been focused on community health, immigration, and trauma. Her work with trauma has been primarily with adults, and includes single and complex trauma, domestic violence, community violence, childhood abuse, sexual and mental abuse. She has training in and experience with TF-CBT, Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Mindfulness. She is currently training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
In addition to trauma work, Melissa has several years of experience treating a variety of anxiety and depressive disorders and working with the geriatric community. She deeply appreciates learning with and witnessing the healing capacities of the seniors she serves. She has also worked with caregivers and has extensive training and personal experience in working with families facing Alzheimer’s and Dementia. Melissa conducts therapy sessions in both English and Spanish and has served the Latinx community in a variety of non-profit organizations.
Melissa believes that her clients are the experts of their own healing and sees it an honor to have the opportunity to hold a non-judgmental safe space where she offers herself as witness to her client’s suffering, while fostering self-compassion, radical acceptance, and personal growth. She enjoys integrating therapeutic modalities to fit each client’s unique interests and needs, although she finds the positive relationship between therapist and client to be the most powerful ingredient.

Malory Giraldo, MSW, LICSW

Malory is a bilingual, clinical social worker with over a decade of experience providing direct social services in the nonprofit and community-based sectors. She holds a Master of Social Work degree from the University of St. Thomas and St. Catherine University with a specialty in immigration and complex trauma. Her area of interest is with adults and teenagers who are dedicated to overcoming interpersonal violence, intimate partner and domestic abuse, gender-based violence, forced migration, and community violence of various forms. In addition to trauma healing, Malory has experience with a broad spectrum of anxiety and depressive disorders, adjustments, self-esteem, grief and loss, and attachment concerns.
Malory prioritizes client-determined care while incorporating techniques based in somatic-based practices such as meditation and self-awareness, narrative therapy, and psychodynamic approaches. Malory’s approach to mental health is deeply rooted in respect and understanding, fortification of strengths, and advocacy within the systems which impact us. She sees therapy as a space for attuning to one’s inner knowledge and being gracious with ourselves along the healing journey.
Malory has a professional background in community and international humanitarian work, gender concerns, ethics, and environmental sustainability. She is a certified Kundalini Yoga instructor with focus on at-risk populations, conscious communication, and authentic relationships.

Stephanie received her MA and PsyD in Counseling Psychology from the University of St. Thomas. Stephanie has worked with adults in a variety of mental health settings, and has a special interest and training in working with young adults navigating life choices and higher education. She has experience with Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and is currently training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Stephanie works with adults of all ages providing individual therapy. Her areas of interest include anxiety, trauma work, attachment, managing life changes, grief and loss, and navigating relational and social dynamics.
Stephanie is grounded in a relational approach to therapy that focuses on the contexts and experiences of each client. She works to explore these compassionately with her clients in an effort to move toward acceptance and change. She believes that safety is the foundation of cultivating change and creates a collaborative and non-judgmental environment through a style that is warm, empathic, and transparent. Jennifer Worley, APRN, CNP, RYT-200
Nurse Practitioner
Jennifer is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner who completed her Master of Art in Nursing from St Catherine University. She has over 20 years of experience in nursing, the last 15 years in pediatrics. Her clinical practice has focused on neurology, trauma/abuse, chronic pain, and integrative medicine, with an interest in adolescent health and resiliency. This led her to complete a post-master’s certificate as a Pediatric Primary Care Mental Health Specialist.
Jennifer has worked extensively with children and youth who have experienced trauma, chronic pain, homelessness and abuse. She uses a collaborative approach in her practice, working closely with patients and their parents to assess, diagnose, and treat ADHD, anxiety, depression, PTSD, and substance use disorders. Her combined interest in traditional and integrative medicine uses a holistic lens, looking for root causes of symptoms and how sleep, exercise, nutrition/supplements, as well as medication management, can improve outcomes.
Additionally, Jennifer is a certified yoga instructor interested in trauma informed practices for adults and children. She completed her 200 hour training in 2010 and is currently working on her 500 hour training through Yoga Medicine, including courses on anatomy, women’s health, yoga for athletes, and mental health. She believes that yoga is for every body and works on individual’s specific goals to create programs that work for them.

Anna Bishop, MS, LD, RDN

Anna is a licensed Registered Dietitian who received her Masters of Science in Nutrition & Dietetics at the University of Minnesota. Anna completed her Dietetic Internship, also at the University of Minnesota, with a focus on eating disorder treatment and recovery. In her practice, Anna provides client centered nutrition counseling and education to help people of all ages develop and maintain a peaceful relationship with food. Anna has experience working with clients in inpatient, outpatient, and intensive mental health settings. Her areas of expertise include disordered eating, aspects of intuitive eating, family feeding dynamics, fueling for mindful movement, gender affirming nutrition, and optimal nutrition for all stages of life.
Anna is passionate about providing an open, compassionate and non-judgmental space to talk about food and nutrition. She enjoys exploring ways to reconnect with one’s body in order to nourish and care for yourself. She has worked with children and adolescents and their families as well as adults in both outpatient and in-home settings, and prior to her doctoral work also worked with adults with severe and persistent mental illness in in-home and supportive work settings. Jessica has extensive experience working with complex trauma across the lifespan. Her clinical interests include trauma work, depression, anxiety, attachment issues, self-harm, mindfulness and relaxation training, adjustment related concerns, self-esteem, parent/child conflict, adolescent identity development, play therapy, and providing parent consultation and guidance for a variety of concerns. Selene Silva, DACM, LAc.

Selene is a Doctor in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, licensed by the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice. She graduated valedictorian from Northwestern Health and Sciences University. Dr. Silva’s clinical experience includes the Masonic Children’s hospital, Woodwinds hospital, Salvation Army, Human Performance Center for professional athletes, as well as specialized training at Henan University in Zhengzhou, China.
Selene believes that traditional Chinese Medicine gives people a sense of control over their health, sometimes pain and disease can make people feel hopeless and powerless. Her approach to patient care integrates Western and Eastern medicines by utilizing modern acupuncture techniques to help patients with muscle and nerve conditions, pain management, gastrointestinal problems, women’s health, sleep disorders, anxiety, depression, among others.
